RENTERS RULES & REGULATIONS

Regarding property at 1247 N. Cottage Avenue, Gearhart, Oregon 97138.

 General

1) No smoking inside of house or garage.

2) No Pets allowed on premises.

3) Please no small children with drinks (Soda, Hot Chocolate, Milk, Juice, etc.) or food upstairs – water is OK.

4) Please have small children eat at the nook or dining table.

5) Please do not allow digging in the sand area next to the deck footings.

6) Please be very careful with fires in the backyard fire-pit. Make sure the fire is fully extinguished before leaving unattended! Please be courteous to our neighbors and be VERY QUIET after 10:00PM.

7) Please use the re-cycling bins (plastic/glass/cardboard/paper/etc.) in the garage during your stay.

8) Please rinse off any used surf boards, before stowing them on the rack. 

Check-In (4:00 PM)

1) Turn water heater (in garage) thermostat (larger round knob) to upright position (clockwise). Be sure and listen for immediate gas ignition.

2) Turn furnace thermostat (above couch in living area) ON (bottom right switch to HEAT position). Thermostat is programmed for 70° F in day, and 66° F over night (11:30PM – 7:00AM). Open and shut furnace vents upstairs as necessary, but please don’t reprogram thermostat.

3) Make sure fireplace damper is open (before using the fireplace). 

Check-Out (11:00 AM)

1) Remove sheets only from beds that have been slept in, and place in laundry room.

2) Place used towels in laundry room.

3) Place garbage in brown garbage can, making sure the lid is secure (and leave garbage can in garage).

NOTE: Our garbage service will only pick up the one can, so please take any additional refuse with you that won’t fit in the garbage can (use a black garbage bag provided).

4) Please take all perishable food with you (DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER - NO ONE WILL EAT YOUR LEFT BEHIND FOOD/CONDIMENTS)

5) Turn water heater (in garage) thermostat (not the pilot light) to the VACATION position (counter-clockwise).

6) Turn furnace thermostat (above couch in living area) OFF (bottom right switch).

7) Turn OFF all inside & outside lights.

8) Remove any night lights from bathroom wall sockets.

9) Shut and lock all windows.

10) Lock both front door locks.

11) Lock patio door and place “security” dowel in track.

12) Leave back door (to garage) unlocked.

13) Level sand area in backyard next to deck with rake – if kids have been digging.

14) Close both garage doors. Please make sure the manual (south) door is locked, and the automatic (north) door is unlocked.
